First let me introduce myself. I was a member of Rockaway Bassmasters located in Rockaway, New Jersey for about 5 years. I served as the secretary and treasurer, created, hosted and maintained their website and kept track of their tournaments using Tournament Keeper from Taysys Software. I am currently a member of Berks Bassmasters located in Reading, PA and have been a member since 2000. I started working for a Customs broker in NY in 1984 that specialized in clearing import shipments of wearing apparel for stores such as Alexander's, Ames, J.W. Mays and others. These shipments were container loads and Customs usually pulled samples to make sure they were collecting the proper duties. Dealing with Customs and these stores taught me a lot about what to look for in well made garments, and also what constituted a poorly made garment. During that time I also passed my brokers exam and became a Licensed Customs Broker. In 1990, after spending time learning computers, I left the company to pursue a career in the IT field. After 2001 I found that the IT field in this area (Reading, PA) was not what it was in areas like N.J., N.Y. or DC, but since I had obligations here, I knew we could not relocate again. So I decided to look for an business I could start and hopefully prosper in. I decided to start Keystone Embroidery after doing a lot of research and found it was not easy to purchase an embroidered tournament shirt without putting together a large order. I also did extensive research into custom made shirts just like the pros wear and have found that ProWearOne makes custom shirts with the fisherman in mind. These shirts are made to last years, which reduces the overall cost of the shirt versus a shirt you wear for one season and throw away. I have also tested most of the apparel I sell to make sure that they fit well and stand up under constant washing. One example is the denim shirt I sell. I have had the same shirt for 3 years now and it looks just as good today as it did when I first bought it. The embroidery on the back and front still look good and the shirt shows almost no signs of wear. So come on in and take a look around. If you do not see something here you like or want, take a look at the online catalogs. We can get almost anything you see in a catalog or can suggest something that would fit your tastes. Remember, you can always call or send an e-mail if you have any questions or need assistance. Thank you for stopping by and come on in, our door is always open! Joe Trainor |
